Western Australia rejects daylight saving after three-year trial
WEST Australians have voted against daylight saving after a three-year trial which has divided the state.
WA Electoral Commissioner Warwick Gately said the No vote looked to have succeeded with more than 55 per cent of the vote after 67 per cent of votes were counted at 8pm (WST).

It is the fourth referendum on the issue for West Australians in four successive decades. A three-year daylight saving trial concluded on March 30.

Sandgropers have voted on the issue in referendums in 1975, 1984 and 1992, with the No vote succeeding each time.
